In 2008, Banner Medical embarked on a mission to become a world-class supplier of medical grade raw materials and value-added services to the medical device industry. Over time, we have established key supplier relationships with over 260 medical device OEMs, Contract Manufacturers and Precision Machine Shops that supply implant and instrument products to the orthopedic, spine, and dental industries. Please contact us for more information.

The following provides a timeline overview of Banner Medical:

2016

Banner Medical launches Greenfield facility in Warsaw, IN that is dedicated to processing medical device, instrument, ambulatory care and patient handling material. The Warsaw, IN facility has in-house centerless grinding, water-jetprecision cut-to-length, near-net shape (blanking) and ultrasonic testing capability. This state-of-the-art facility is ISO13485 certified and utilizes QRM for optimized work flow.

2014

Banner Medical forms a partnership with Sandvik as the exclusive distribution partner for 316LVM, 316 LSM, and select Titanium materials sold into North America. Historical year over year sales growth averages 42%. Banner Medical is now an approved supplier for 40 OEMs and Contract Manufacturers serving the medical device industry.

2012-2013

Banner Medical expands its value-added services by providing ultrasonic immersion testingline marking, processing of flats and shaped material, polishing, water-jet cutting, and near net shaped parts processing capability.

2011

Banner Medical’s reputation as a key supplier and partner to OEMs and Contract Manufacturers continues to grow. Strategic mill relationships are formed with medical grade material suppliers to provide the constant stream of material needed to serve customers.

2010

Banner Medical is awarded ISO 13485 medical device industry certification for the Carol Stream, IL and Charlotte, NC facilities, and becomes FDR CFR part 820 compliant. By 2010, Banner Medical achieves Approved Supplier Listing (ASL) status with over 20 OEMs serving the medical device industry.

2009

A 15,000-square-foot medical bay is added to the Carol Stream, IL facility to process medical grade materials using the latest in equipment technology and quality processes.

2008

Banner Medical was formed as a strategic business unit within Banner Service Corporation after identifying a need for suppliers that provided precision raw material processing capability and full documentation traceability for OEMs, Contract Manufacturers and Precision Machine Shops serving the medical device industry.
